MEMBERSHIP CLASSES AND QUALIFICATIONS

There are two classes of members:

• Ordinary Members

• Associate Members

Members may be:

• Corporations (including limited companies),

• Academic and recognised organisations or

• Individuals.

Ordinary Membership is open to applicants engaged in the UAV systems industry within the United Kingdom as a researcher, designer, developer, manufacturer or operator of UAV Systems, or as a supplier of UAV system components or consultancy services. All Ordinary Members must be:

• Registered in the United Kingdom or

• Resident in the United Kingdom.

Associate Membership is open to applicants who are engaged in the UAV systems industry within the United Kingdom but who:

• Are not a UK-registered company or

• Are a UK-registered company or UK-resident individual but are not directly engaged in research, design, development, manufacture, operations or consultancy.

Associate Membership is also open to applicants who are engaged in any aspects of the UAV systems industry but are operating outside the United Kingdom. The Governing Council will review such applications on an individual basis.

SUBSCRIPTION RATES

Entrance fees and annual subscriptions payable by Members to meet the operating costs of the Association are fixed annually in the General Meeting.

The current fees are as below:

All subscription rates above are exclusive of VAT

The terms Large, Medium and Small are in relation to company size and are as defined by the United Kingdom Government's Department of Trade and Industry:

Small Company

Turnover less than £2.8m; Balance Sheet less than £1.4m; and employees less than 50.

Medium-sized Company

Turnover between £2.8m and £11.2m; Balance Sheet between £1.4m and £5.6m; and employees between 50 and 250.

Large Company

All other companies.
